This past weekend we had the Rabine kids Saturday-Sunday…
and I think we have definitively decided that five kids is probably not for us
(I think we already knew that)! The kids
had a great time though, and it was awesome to see them all spending time
together. The three big kids slept in Maggie's room, and the two little girls slept in Evie's room. It took a little while for them all to fall asleep, but they did really great!

We got them all looking at the camera at once - miracle!

She finished that cup in like three minutes

Jamie and I celebrated seven years of marriage on Monday –
we had a late lunch outside so that we could watch the solar eclipse, so cool!
Not trying to impersonate Stevie Wonder, I swear!
Here’s a few others from the past couple weeks:
Grandma took the girls to the bounce-house with some buddies
This weekend I went to New York for a girls trip with all my
Harmonette friends from college. It was
soooo great to see everyone again, and we just picked up where we left
off. There was lots of walking, talking,
eating and drinking!
We a-pier to be having a great time!
Somehow we always end up in a singing formation
Random Acapella sign?
I even got to see Andy and Katie!!
Jamie stayed home with the girls all weekend, and they had
fun with their daddy. Friday was the
last day of camp, so all the kids had their end-of-camp show. Here’s Maggie’s big number:
Jamie took Maggie to her first DCFC (Detroit City Football
Club) game on Saturday, and she had an amazing time staying up late and
watching soccer. Her favorite part was
all the smoke from the flares… I’ve yet to go to a game, but apparently this is
common.
Socks with crocs... sigh
Losing steam
Hangin with all the cool kids

Evie was a sweetie all weekend, and loved jabbering to me on
the phone. Jamie sent me this sweet little clip while I was at work - made my heart melt:
It was a great weekend, but I was so happy to get home and
see the family! This is Jamie’s last
week of summer, so we’re trying to squeeze in some last-minute fun before the
craziness of fall.
Picnic at the park... they just had to wear their fave dresses
This weekend my college roommate Lauren came to visit with
her family! It’s been over 10 years
since we graduated, and it was so good to catch up and get to know her little
kiddos!
Brunch buddies
On Sunday we
celebrated my nephew’s 6th birthday!
Jamie picked out his gift, which was a real dinosaur tooth and a little
dinosaur excavation kit… I did not think it would be something he wanted, but
Luke said it was one of his favorite gifts.
Jamie is great at thinking like a 6-year-old boy!
For he's a jolly good fellow!
Best way to practice excavation is with ice cream
Sweaty sweaty bounce house
Teaching Sarah... who probably doesn't need teaching
Content to sit on the sideline away from the wildness
Poor Sarah...

Maggie’s dance class was finished, and she wanted to
continue, so we signed up for another 3-week course, 2 days a week. She had her first class yesterday, which
seemed to be a little more focused on dance.
Maggie enjoyed showing us her new moves, and was excited to dance with
the barre this time.
This is also Maggie and Jamie's last week at camp. Maggie was one of the youngest campers, and we were proud of how well she did at camp, and heard several times that she is a very good listener!
Very into apples
When a fire truck services ice cream... best idea ever.
Just in case the Hunger Games ever happen
Another visit to the zoo!
Checking out the giraffes

Climbing on stuff as usual
