My baby is 3!Evie is
a fierce, smart, goofy little girl and we are so proud of her!
That face
We celebrated her birthday a few days early
at build-a-bear with her cousins.She
had a pretty good time, but as usual, was not interested in doing what everyone
else was doing – the girl goes her own way!We had pizza and cake afterward, and she was pretty excited about all
her presents!
Her bear, which is named "Me"
Waiting for the party to start. Claire was not impressed.

I love this sweet picture - the kids are making a wish for Evie

She loves her Grandpa
Aunt Amy took Evie to the Disney store after the party to use
her gift card, and when selecting between an Anna or Elsa doll, Evie
matter-of-factly said that she would take both.Had I been there, I totally would have said no way, but her doting aunt spoiled
her!
When you get what you want
Grandma got the three cousins roller skates, and the girls are obsessed! Sadly the weather was pretty nasty, so we let them try it out on our hardwood floors (probably not my best decision). Maggie got the hang of it pretty quickly, and I think Evie will do great once she's on something with a little more friction.
Evie opened all her presents as soon as she came downstairs
on her birthday... that's the face of determination
Fishy friends
I spy an Evie
Horse race
Evie was so excited to sit by the elephant

Happy Birthday to you my love!
Eating Grandma and Maggie's special cake
Evie got a bike from Grandma and Grandpa and is pretty psyched!
Jamie and Amy's birthday was a couple days later! We had dinner with the family the night
before, and then he and I drove to Grand Rapids for brewery fun on his actual
birthday (sans kids).Jamie had a lot
of fun…

Princess time
My husband decorated these cupcakes for Evie to take to daycare... I think I'll let him take over the baked goods from now on!
The girls wanted to see what they were like as babies... luckily I have this little blog to scroll back in time!
We spent two days at Disney and the girls absolutely loved it! We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, and the rooms were just so cool, I loved all the Disney details. Jamie is quite the task master when it comes to planning out a day at Disney... it was tiring, but we definitely crammed in as many activities as possible with two little girls! Somehow we managed to meet every princess that was available, so fair warning, this post is mostly pictures with princesses! Maggie was able to do a few roller coasters, and she felt very brave and accomplished. Evie was in awe of everything...
Started our day meeting Mickey and Minnie!
"Mom it's Rafiki's tree!"
Waiting in line for her first coaster
in Dino land
Me and my baby
Epcot is where Anna and Elsa live, so we got to meet them and go on the new Frozen ride (which was pretty awesome).
Frozen with excitement
Goofing with Anna
Pochahontas was actually the first princess Evie met on the trip... she was geeked!
Mulan!
Trying to cheer up a sleepy Evie with ice cream... which she didn't want... debating how much my stomach could hold
We love Bamax!
Our second day was spent at the Magic Kingdom. We had a delicious breakfast at Be Our Guest restaurant, and were able to get into the park early because of our reservation - score!
Welcome to the Magic Kingdom
Classic photo op... note the lack of sweaty, cranky crowds
This was almost a cute photo...
Fireworks
Roller Coaster buddies - Maggie is obsessed!
Somehow Jamie managed to get us reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch. This was a major highlight for the girls because they got to eat lunch in the castle and chat with the princess throughout. We met most of the princesses that day, and Evie was just beside herself, it was so fun to see. Both of them were terrible conversationalists, just frozen with huge smiles while the poor princesses tried to ask them questions.
A whole new world
One of Evie's favorite princesses
Snow White was one of the best "in character" princesses
Aurora didn't fall asleep during this visit
Hugs from Donald Duck
Goofy is always so silly, Evie got a kick out of him
Merida, totally my favorite princess, super fun with the girls
Castle selfie
Rapunzel trying to figure out where in Michigan we're
from using her hand... the girls were sadly clueless
Evie was over the moon ever time she met a princess
Maggie had to keep telling the princesses that Evie was
about to turn 3, since Evie just held up her whole hand
whenever anyone asked
Poor Ariel with handsy Evie
Cinderella said we should get 3 cakes for Evie's 3rd birthday!
Evie's excitement is palpable
I'm so glad we got to take the girls for a couple days! It was such a fun and exciting way to end our trip to Florida!
We left town the next day, sat in several traffic jams, but made it home to Michigan in one long 22-hour stretch of driving! As soon as we walked in the door, Evie asked if we could go back to Florida.
