Spring is here, so I guess I should probably recap the end of winter... is it possible that time flies faster each year? Life is good with the Donoghues! Maggie is thinking about her future, has her sights set on aerospace engineering and a quiz told her to check out U of M, Purdue and MIT (you know what I'm rooting for). I'm pretty sure I wanted to be a mattress tester when I was in sixth grade, so she's impressing me! Evie is super excited to be turning 10 soon, and continues to branch out from her obsession with black and white clothes! She's learning the ukulele at school (loves it) and is crushing it at soccer - ready to start outdoor! Ben lost his first tooth recently, which was traumatic and scary for him, but also thrilling! He's really obsessed with outer space right now, loves to draw the planets and talk about stars.
We took the kids sledding during the last big snow of the year:

These two have a love/hate relationship, but mostly founded on love |
Grammer and Pops took us out to see a comedy show at the Macomb Center - it was cheesy and hilarious. Afterward they took the kids for a sleepover! Ben still regularly asks when he can sleep at Grammer's house again.

Every now and then the stars align and we can have a fun night out with our buddies Julie and Ryan. Their three kids are the same ages as our three, so it's always a good time for everyone!

Gotta end the night at Astoria! |
Jamie and the kids didn't have the same spring break this year, so it was kind of a boring break for everyone. But I took the week off to be with the kids, and we made sure to fill each day with fun activities like bowling, skating, baking, sleepovers, movies, etc. It was lovely!

How cute is this girl? |
Our kids are rrrreally into April Fools Day, but are still working on perfecting their diabolical natures. I woke up Ben at 6:30am and convinced him to put on his bathing suit because the downstairs was totally flooded (got the girls at that age with the same prank!). I messed with Maggie's iPad screen and snuck a plastic bug in Evie's water... nothing too inventive this year. However, we did work together to prank all their friends with cake pops. Instead of cake, we dipped cherry tomatoes in chocolate and fed them to their friends - it was epic! Surprisingly, a couple girls thought it was pretty tasty and ate more than one!
