Maggie cashed in her birthday gift with Aunty Amy and Uncle
Rex this week – they had a very special date to Build-a-Bear, Starbucks, the Disney
Store and had fun outside too (soooo spoiled)!
She had such an amazing time, and was so happy to spend time with
Will.
Woot woot! Awesome godmother!
The bear is built!
Sugar rush!

A few others from the week:
Maggie and I made Shamrock people this weekend. She decided the girl would be happy and the boy would be sad... not sure why....

Mmmm.... door....
Trying on hats with Grandma
I'm ready for tea darling
Happy dance face
Forgot to add this last week - from Bobby's house. This girl really wanted to try out the potty after seeing Claire in action!
65 degrees in February? I'll take it! We have had an awesome weekend thanks to the beautiful weather!
This week we celebrated Valentine's Day. The girls made a photo frame for Daddy with popsicle sticks, and Maggie went with Daddy to pick out a few fun things for me (a head-scratcher thingy and a pen that has a tiny massage roller on the end)! Jamie and I had a delightful happy hour to toast our love.
Working on Daddy's valentine
A lot more interested in painting the newspaper than the popsicle sticks
Let's do this
So excited to wear Maggie's art apron
Maggie had a really barky cough that was worrying us, so Jamie took her to the doctor last week. She ended up being fine, but enjoyed visiting her doc.
Spelling in the waiting room (her's is on the bottom)
Pancake breakfast after a good checkup!
Jamie's mom was sick this week, so we each took a half day off work to watch the girls. Jamie took the girls to work for one of his small classes, and they got to be art students for a little while.
Class is in session
I'm trying to focus
Really into it
Lots of scribbles from Evie - she normally gets bored after just a few streaks
Perfecting it
Saturday morning, Jamie took both girls to do the grocery shopping so I could get our house in order. He is a very brave man.
Amazing how much entertainment a wipe provides
That night we went over Bobby's house to babysit. We decided to bring the girls along so the cousins could play together - they entertained each other, brilliant!
Spiderman, ready to pounce

Claire liked to be Spidergirl for a while
Too many cooks in the kitchen
Spiderman and Moana's wedding
Arting
Evie was overly possessive of the baby stroller... poor Sarah was shunned many times
Last weekend Jamie took Maggie to the zoo one day, and then Evie the next day (it just worked out). I think they both enjoyed their one-on-one dates with Daddy.

I did not teach her that baby-hold
Giraffe enclosure - look how close you get!
Both girls got to see the bears out and about. Jamie is preparing them for elementary school (thanks for the warning, DeVos)
Some others:
Sleepy at dinner time
These girls love to hang out together
I did not hear any noise from the girls while in the other room, panic-walked into the room to find this sweetness
Peak-a-boo!
My kids do wear real clothes sometimes, I swear
Maggie's selfie
This video is a bit long, but Maggie is being a teacher and I love it:
I know we talk about Moana way too much, but here's yet another video of the girls singing together. I just love watching Evie study Maggie to figure out what to sing.
We had a fun and relaxing weekend around this house. Jamie took Maggie downtown on Saturday to drop off some student work for the DIA art show, and then they went grocery shopping while Evie and I cleaned the house.
Maggie D in the D!
Jamie was feeling artsy in the stairwell
Critical part of every Meijer trip
Maggie's reward for being a good helper!
On Sunday we went to the zoo! It was very empty, and so we had a great time
checking out the penguin exhibit, and then the butterfly house. Just being in the tropical air for a little
while helped combat the winter blues! It
was so nice to get outside and move for a while, didn’t realize how long it’s
been!
Evie really loved the penguins
Sweet-talked Daddy into carrying her

That's more like it!

On the lookout
Maggie and Evie keep swapping roles – we usually have one
that acts extremely sweet and the other acts really sassy. They’re like a little sweet & sour combo
meal. Maggie keeps using the line “you
never spend any time with me” or “you never have time for me”… it used to be a
total gut punch, but she’s lost her power with overuse! Evie basically screams at everything with
she’s feeling sassy. Our “time-out spot”
has had several visits this week.
