Wow, what a crazy week with all the COVID-19 stuff. My hands have never been so purified (and dry). Maggie's hands are chapped from all the hand washing and sanitizer she has to use at school. Oh well, all we can do is try to keep things clean and keep away from crowds... this introvert is just fine with that!
Poor Ben had a horrible virus over the weekend, I think it was his first serious illness. Temperature just wouldn't break and he was so miserable. Thankfully the antibiotics have kicked in and he's mostly back to normal. He also had his annual checkup in the middle of it all, so my poor baby had to get four vaccines on top of being sick! He is a healthy 23 lb 11 oz and is 32 inches tall! All the developmental stuff looks good.

Cousin Donna hooked us up with tickets to a Nick Jr. show at the Fox Theater. I ended up staying home with Ben since he was so sick, so Jamie and the girls had a really special date in Detroit. They saw the show, had lunch, walked to the Riverwalk and played, then met up with our friend Mike and his boys to play... they slept well that night.

Evie has figured out that this is funny. And now does it in every picture. |

I had preschool conferences for Evie last week, and she is totally ready for kindergarten! Her teacher was so impressed with how much Evie has matured and adapted to preschool this year; her meltdowns last year could be heard down the hall, and her teacher admitted she was a little nervous about having Evie. She said she has a "huge personality," is really good at following the rules, is one of the best number-writers in the class, and has a lot of friends. I still think of her as a shy girl, so I was a little surprised and thrilled to hear all these things.
