Happy Easter!

He is risen, Alleluia!  Happy Easter!
Ready for church!

Trying to trick  the Easter Bunny by dressing up after her bath
We went to Easter mass and saw lots of adorable kids in their Easter best.  Maggie got a lot of compliments on her pretty dress.  She did very well during mass!

Our little family

I love Daddy
Afterward we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Donoghue's house to celebrate.  Maggie does not seem too interested in Easter.  She basically just wants nothing more than to eat her hands all the time.
Nom nom nom... mmm hands
Pebbles has nothin on me!

Playin with Grandpa
We had a whirlwind week!  Maggie all of sudden started waking up every hour last weekend... this was very disturbing because she was a solid sleeper until now.  I looked online, and it seems like a common issue around 3 to 4 months.  We had a few really bad nights and I felt like a zombie at work.  We decided to stop swaddling her since she wasn't sleeping well anyway, and then I started putting little mittens on because her hands were so cold every morning.  Apparently that was the trick, because she's sleeping sound again!  She gets up around 5am, but we just plug in her pacifier and she goes right back to sleep.  Whew, I'm relieved (knock on wood).

This is what I would like if I was bald.
Thanks for making my cute hat, Grandma!
Jamie took Maggie to Bishop Foley on Wednesday for their Walk-a-Thon.  I was nervous that she would give him a lot of trouble at work, and he wouldn't be able to attend to her and his students at the same time... of course, she proved me wrong.  She was an angel!

Go Blue!
We went to the mall on Friday to run some errands, and she seemed to enjoy it again.  Saturday we went to our cousin Pat and Donna's house for a yummy turkey dinner.  Then Jamie had to run to a concert afterward with Uncle Jason, so Maggie and I went home for bedtime.  We stopped by the Vukich house super quick to say hello to everyone, especially little Luke and Izzy - such cute little munchkins!

Trying to convince Mike and Ashley to make me a playmate!
Check out the onesie they made me!
Maggie seems to want more to eat these past few days, and is sleeping a lot.  I think she's going through a growth spurt.  She is starting to play with her rattle, and still loves feeling textures.  She played with her Easter dress a lot since it was a new type of fabric.

Mine!
Bath time is the best!

Daddy will be home from work this week, so she gets some one-on-one time with him.  I'm a little jealous, because she already seems to be more interested in him.  He's totally the fun parent...making her laugh and goof all the time... so I will bribe her with candy when she's older to win her love and affection! (just kidding)

I love Mommy too

March Madness

No major updates this week... well, except that Maggie is playing basketball now.  March Madness really seemed to motivate her (Go Blue!).

Oh no you don't
Otherwise, Maggie is the same old gal...

If she's really hungry, she grabs the bottle herself!
Maggie's cheeks and chin are really red lately, starting to chap :(
Trying to sit like a lady is hard!
Trying to take a photo of her cute hat from Grandma... she wasn't pleased!
Maggie loves the bird mobile in her crib!

Don't know why, but I think hiccups are the cutest

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Our little leprechaun is nothing but good luck for us!

Maggie seems to be interested in textures now - she likes to pet everything very repetitively.   It's really cute when she's taking a bottle and pets my arm while looking at me, as if she was trying to reassure me of something.

Saturday mornings are the best!
From our visit to the Rabines'
We've gotten Maggie to roll over a couple times since last weekend.  She can only do it when she's on the couch cushions, because there's a little bit of a hump to roll off of.  She kicks her legs over, digs the shoe brace into the couch and then sort of falls onto her stomach.  So I think this is the beginning, but I wouldn't consider her a roll-over baby just yet.
Can't wait for opening day!
I figure it's probably time to stop swaddling her at night... yikes, it's been rough.  She falls asleep great, but usually wakes herself up every hour with her wildly swinging arms.  Sometimes she is able to fall back asleep after 5 minutes, other times we have to go give her a pacifier.  After 3 nights of almost no sleep, we starting swaddling again...  Jamie has break in a couple weeks, so I think we'll try again then when he's got more time to sleep.

We went to a Baptism prep class at our church this week.  Not gonna lie, I really didn't feel like going to it after working all day, but I'm so glad we did.  It was a reminder of how important this sacrament is, and it made me really excited for Maggie's big day next month.

Aunt Amy babysat Maggie for the first time on Friday, and I think she had a great time!  When I got home from work, she would just stare and smile and her aunt.  It was super cute :)  Afterward, all of us went to the bar for happy hour and dinner... perhaps we are terrible parents?  Maggie had a great time - maybe a little too much fun:

I just need to sleep this off...
This is a bad quality picture, but I love Maggie's expression:
Let's talk business - make me an offer
Thankfully Aunt Amy knows how to take good photos:

Let's play!
I feel Russian...
Note: no monkeys were harmed in the making of this hat
Love you, Grandpa

Rolling!

Quick update: Maggie surprised us yesterday by rolling over for her first time!  We were eating dinner at Bobby and Allison's, and when we laid her on the couch, she rolled all the way over without any help!  I'll try to get a video soon if she continues to do it!

Supermodel

Maggie had her 3 month checkup this week.  She weighs 12 lb 11 oz and is 24.75 inches.  She's in the 50th percentile for weight and head circumference, and 95th percentile for height...  I'm concerned that she will grow to be super tall and that Tyra Banks will come across her in a mall one day and put her on terrible reality show.  Please, if you care about Maggie at all, keep your eyes out for Tyra!

This is my catalog look
This is my fierce, Zoolander face
Maggie should be pushing herself up now, but she isn't quite there yet.  It's probably our fault because we don't do "tummy time" very often.  We're doing it every day now, and she already seems to be getting more upper body strength.  She usually hates it, but we had one rare happy moment:

Maggie has abs of steel from lifting that brace all the time!  When we lie her down, she can sit up about 45 degrees to protest and then gently lower herself down.

Just hanging in my Pack 'N Play
My favorite part of the day is getting Maggie from her crib.  She'll usually hang out for a while with a few shouts to let us know she's awake.  I love unwrapping her from the swaddler, she goes into stretch mode.

Here's some more photos:

Grandma and I are in tune - we both wore black and red on the same day!

Brunch with Becks!

Making plans to take over the world!

Ok I'm tired, time for you to go read some other blog

Seriously.

3 Months!

It's hard to believe, but our little girl is 3 months old today!  She's a very happy baby, and makes us laugh all the time.  I can't imagine life without her :)  3 has always been my lucky number, and now I have a 3 month old on the 3rd day of the month on the 3rd month of the year in the 3rd year of our marriage!  I'll probably win the lottery any day now.

Of course, we had another photo shoot for her big day.  With a name like Maggie Donoghue, we had to take advantage of St. Patty's day coming up!

This is my happy face!
Oh you...

Maggie spent the week at home with Daddy and was a good girl (most of the time)!  Every week she gets more personality!  She still isn’t really holding on to objects, so were trying to get that started.  She almost always smiles when we make coo noises at her, it's really cute.  She seems addicted to watching TV, so I'm trying to keep her turned away from it as much as possible.  Not much else to report!

I'm trying a new look - messy bangs

Yeah, I can sit in my Bumbo, no big deal, just a little something I've been working on
All smiles

Let me talk to my people and I'll get back to you
Jamie and I threw a beer tasting party for Justin and his friends last night for his birthday gift.  We had 35 types of beer... and this morning we were reminded that we are too old for that stuff!  Maggie slept through the night even though it was pretty loud!  Unfortunately she decided to get up 2 hours earlier than normal this morning, so we're going to bed early tonight!
