One Month and More!

Sweet baby Evelyn turned one month this past week!

Here's Maggie at one month...
pretty similar!

Evie currently is very skilled at laying down, pooping and sleeping!  We got our first real smiles this week, which is so awesome!  She still needs to feed in the middle of the night, but Jamie and I have worked out the schedule so we each get a decent amount of sleep.  Evie usually sleeps in between her night feedings, so we are very lucky (so far)!

I know I'm cute

We have had an extremely busy week, finally getting around to uploading all the photos.  I'm pretty impressed with how much we manage to do with a newborn - tooting my own horn, we are awesome.

Last weekend we celebrated little Tommy V's first birthday.  There were a bunch of kids there, so once Maggie warmed up, she had a blast!

Gotta go!

Grandma's birthday was last week, so we all got together for a delicious dinner at Vinsetta Garage.

Our dear friend Brian was ordained as a Catholic priest this weekend.  It was an honor to witness his ordination.  We are so proud!

Jamie and Brian often joked that when he became a priest, he would also turn into a super-hero called "Vatican Man" (trademark pending).  VM has a direct line to the pope and changes into his superhero disguise in a confessional.  At the risk of seeming slightly sacreligious, Jamie had a cape made for Brian and also these:

Maggie and I spent some time together at the park earlier in the week while Grandma watched Evie.  It was great to have some one-on-one time with my oldest girl.  I feel like she keeps getting put on the back burner when I have the two girls by myself.  We had a great time, and she learned how to make "helicopter" leaves fly.

Am I doing this right, Mama?

My mom and I went to Great Lakes Crossing this week.  Maggie was a big handful that day, so it was a little more stressful than usual.  Once she was in the play area, she was all set!

I'm in my element!

Maggie had photo day at daycare this week, so I attempted to get her wispy bangs out of her face.  It involved a lot of whining and hairspray, and I'm doubting her hair stayed until the photo was taken.  Oh well, kids are kids!  Here is my irritated daughter before leaving the house:

I will NOT smile

Trying to get Maggie to do the monkey bars:

Maggie often uses a taunting voice, saying "you can't catch me," and then trots along at a serene pace... I don't think she totally understands what it means to be chased.

Soo tired after this busy weekend!

So tired that she fell asleep mid-dance

Happy Memorial Day!
Thank you to those who serve!!
