Fun in the Sun

The girls and Jamie just finished their day camp schedule, so August should be nice and relaxing for them.  Ben is still going to daycare a few days each week and will switch to Jamie's school system for preschool this fall - for free!!  That's a nice new perk!

Made her own R2-D2 in Daddy's art class

One of Jamie's former students agreed to give our kids and a few other kids swim lessons each week at our pool.  Maggie is a pretty strong swimmer, so only Evie and Ben are doing the lessons.  Evie is doing really well... Ben absolutely hates it.  But he gets a few marshmallows after the lesson, and that seems to help!  It usually takes a couple hours to cycle through all the kids, so they all get a lot of time to splash and have fun in the pool.

Maggie loves to babysit one of the 2-year olds,
she's a natural!

Yesterday was a big day for Ben.  He finally realized he can just float and swim on his own (with his puddle jumper) and is absolutely obsessed.  For the past few weeks he would just grip the side ledge and go around the perimeter of the pool, and very rarely he would let us hold him in the water.  Big step!

Swimming in the deep end like a boss!

We did a pedal pub for our friend Adam's birthday - just like last time, it was a blast!

Fun times for all!

Pedal pub!

Adorable.  Happy Birthday, Adam!

I've been itching to get back to Ann Arbor, so we took the girls to the art fair a couple weeks ago.  We only did a few hours because their little legs can only handle so much, but it was fun!

Lectured them on the importance of NOT
walking on the "M"

Took a breather to do some art work

Ice cream to round off the day!

We celebrated Princess Violet's birthday!  Hard to believe she is four years old!

Happy Birthday, Violet!
